Renault Twingo Dolce Vita

Renault is to introduce a brand new Dolce Vita limited edition version of Renault Twingo aimed at active lady drivers looking for a small, chic car.

The Renault Twingo Dolce Vita exterior comes with the same bumper as the Dynamique equipment level, black headlamp masks and foglamps, Dolce Vita graphics on the foglamp surrounds, door pillars and door handle recesses, Pearlescent black exterior mirror housings and foglamp surrounds, plus black ‘Pirate’ wheel trims. The interior features a bright and cheerful colour scheme, including chrome buttons and interior door handles, as well as a vanity mirror for the front passenger.

Renault Twingo Dolce Vita available with a choice of two particularly frugal engines (1.2 LEV 16V 75 and dCi 65) which emit 119g and 113g of CO2/km respectively. Twingo Dolce Vita goes on sale exclusively in France from September 11, with prices starting from €11,050.

Renault Koleos White Edition

The Renault Koleos White Edition is based on the Dynamique trim level and features two-tone leather upholstery as standard, as well as Carminat Bluetooth® DVD navigation, the Bose® Sound System, new aluminium alloy 18-inch wheels and a specific Mineral Beige body colour, plus chrome skid plates, extra-tinted rear glass and a rear lip spoiler. Prices range from €29,350 (dCi 150 DPF) to €32,850 (dCi 150 DPF 4×4 automatic). The new White Edition version sees the addition of a fourth equipment level to the model’s line-up: Expression, Dynamique, White Edition and Privilège.

The Renault Koleos White Edition is available in a choice of three colours: Mineral Beige (specific to the version), Argent Grey and Perlé White. The Renault Koleos White Edition is priced between 29,350 EUR for the dCi 150 DPF model and 32,850 EUR for the dCi 150 DPF 4×4 automatic top of the range version.

Renault Fluence

Renault has confirmed that will launch a new saloon, Fluence and will be built on the existing assembly line at the Oyak-Renault plant in Bursa, Turkey, where the previous Mégane II saloon was produced. Renault Fluence comes with a 4,620mm long, 1,809mm wide, 1,479mm high and a wheelbase of 2,702mm, 530dm3 of boot space, more passenger space than any major rival, including 1,480mm of elbow room at the front and 1,475mm at the rear.

From launch, and depending on market, Renault Fluence will be available with a wide range of thrifty engines which are all a pleasure to drive. Two petrol engines, each available in two versions: 1.6 16V 110hp, with manual or automatic transmission and 2.0 16V 140hp, with manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). Renault Fluence also comes with a choice of five variants of the 1.5 dCi diesel engine: dCi 85, dCi 90 DPF, dCi 105, dCi 110 DPF3, dCi 110 DPF with a new dual clutch transmission (DCT), available from the end of 2010.

Renault Fluence goes on sale in Turkey from November and will benefit from the Mégane II saloon’s class-leading reputation in three best-selling markets: Turkey, Russia and Romania. There are no plans to commercialise Fluence in the UK.

Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E.

Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. is derived from the production version of Renault Kangoo be bop and Z.E. Concept car which was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, Renault Kangoo be bop ZE is equipped with low-energy LED front and rear lighting to optimize energy use. Meanwhile, the car’s aerodynamics have been significantly reworked to reduce energy consumption. Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. sits on 18-inch full disc wheels, and its ground clearance has been lowered by 20mm compared with that of the production Renault Kangoo be bop.

Renault Kangoo be bop ZE is an all-electric zero emission vehicle. It is powered by a 60hp (44kw) electric motor which revs to 12,000rpm and boasts greater efficiency (90 per cent) than an internal combustion engine.

Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. is charged via a Marechal-type socket located behind a flap at the front of the vehicle alongside the right-hand headlamp. The other end of the cable is fitted with a normal plug which connects to the mains supply.

Report: Toyota 'Gs' performance division in the works

Be still our hearts. A Toyota post that doesn't involve a recall. Instead, we've got an unsurprising report about ToMoCo's plans to start a new, in-house performance division dubbed "Gs" sometime in 2010.

Earlier this month, Toyota trotted out three models wearing a new line of performance parts at the Tokyo Auto Salon under the "Toyota G Sports" moniker. While a bodykitted Prius isn't exactly our cup of Earl Grey and the tuned Mark X is about as interesting as a fire-breathing Camry, the (supposedly) turbocharged Toyota FT-86, fitted with a complete aero kit, suspension and brake mods kicked our salivary glands into overdrive.

Unlike the forthcoming Volkswagen R line, BMW's M division or Mercedes-Benz' AMG unit, the Gs line would be a joint collaboration between Modelista – which has been developing and supplying exterior components to the automaker – and TRD, which will handle engine, suspension and brake development with the help of Gazoo, the firm that helped to create the hybrid Mk. III MR2 for TAS.

G's will focus more on high-end components developed for the street and will likely sold as either a complete model (think Toyota FT-86 Gs) or available as separate components, similar to the Lexus F Sport line.

Whether these components or full models will make it Stateside remains to be seen, but when the FT-86 makes it to U.S. shores, we'd suspect Toyota – or more likely Scion – will offer similar equipment.

Shelby makes anniversary Ford Mustang

At auction of collection cars Barrett-Jackson known American company Shelby has presented the next tuning version of coupe Ford Mustang GT to the USA — GT350.

The car is constructed in honour of the 45 anniversary from the date of occurrence of first classical "Mustang" Shelby GT350 which have made in number of 562 copies. The new model will be collected in number of 2200 pieces.
